Belarus – Living with Chernobyl

In April 1986 reactor 4 in Chernobyl exploded. The nuclear plant was situated in Ukraine, but as much as 80 per cent of the poisonous fallout fell down over the neighbouring country Belarus. I visited the area twenty years after the disaster and met the people who still live close to the so-called Black Zone.
This story was awarded First Prize in the category ”Best Foreign Documentary” in the Norwegian “Picture of the Year Award” 2006/2007.
